Destination wedding photographer Melanie had the chance to capture Kavitha’s and Marc’s gorgeous Indian wedding. While the couple lives in New York, they celebrated their epic Hindu wedding over several days with over 1000 (!) guests in Hyderabad (India). Their wedding was certainly one of the most spectacular weddings that hochzeitslicht has ever witnessed. So spectacular, in fact, that this Asian destination wedding was published in Braut&Bräutigam magazine!

Indian Wedding Photography: Telling Visual Love Stories

Indian weddings such as Hindu weddings, Sikh weddings and Muslim weddings are a dream come true for any destination wedding photographer. Regardless of whether they are celebrated in India, Europe or anywhere else in the world. They offer a unique opportunity to tell a visual story that combines tradition, emotion, and cultural diversity. Indian weddings differ widely because each region and community has its distinct traditions and ceremonies. Each ceremony holds special significance, for example, the mehndi ceremony with intricate henna designs or the saat phere, where the couple walks around the sacred fire seven times, symbolizing their journey together.
